[English]
PUNX SAVE THE EARTH is a Japanese-language news site covering new songs, new releases, music videos, and Japan tour announcements in punk, hardcore, emo, indie rock, and related genres. While our focus is mainly on international artists, we also feature independent artists from Japan. Founded in 2012, the site has been run independently by one person ever since.
Genres We Cover
Punk rock / Hardcore / Emo / Indie rock / Post-hardcore / Ska punk, and more
What We Cover
- New songs and music video premieres
- Release news for albums, EPs, singles, splits, and more
- Japan tour dates and domestic festival news
- Band news such as reunions and break-ups
- Interviews
What Makes Us Different
- We introduce international indie bands that rarely get coverage in Japan, publishing around 3–5 articles in Japanese every day.
- We provide extensive coverage of international artists’ Japan tours.
- Our articles include embedded YouTube and Bandcamp players, so readers can listen right on the page.
About the Editor
Run by 3104punx (Satopan). I started a blog introducing punk and emo bands in 2007, and in 2012 I spun off the news section into this site. I write about music on a more personal level, along with album recommendations, on our sister site, PUNX SAVE THE EARTH -blog-. I also run Pajammin Distro, which sells records, CDs, and cassettes focusing on punk, emo, and indie rock.
